McPHERSON, Kan. – McPherson High School Softball closed off the regular season Tuesday, May 7 sweeping Andale, finishing 22-4 on the season and in 2nd place in Regionals.
GAME ONE – W 2-0
Addison Chapman led the Bullpups to the shutout win, throwing a no-hitter in game one. McPherson’s only two runs in the 4th inning on a two-run home run by Karter Alvord, which helped give McPherson their 8th shutout win of the season.

GAME TWO – W 12-4 (6 inn.)
After a defensive first game, offense took over in game two. McPherson had 12 hits, led by Chapman’s 3 hits and Haely Hagemanns two home runs.
Addie Herrera started on the mound and threw a complete game, throwing all seven innings, allowing four runs and striking out six batters. The Bullpups got the win, giving them their 22nd win of the season and finishing their regular season on a 9-game win streak.

The Bullpups finish 22-4 in the regular season and clinch 2nd place in the 4A West Regional standings behind Scott Community HS, who finished 17-3 and with a higher win percentage.
Despite finishing in 2nd, the Bullpups will host Regionals Tuesday, May 14. Opponents and times are TBD.
