The McPherson High School Varsity Wrestling teams finished their regular seasons on Feb. 6-7, as the girls team traveled to Towanda for the Circle Invite and the boys to the Rose Hill Invitational.
The Bullpup Girls placed 9th out of 33 teams that participated in the 35th Annual Circle Invite. Six out of the 11 wrestlers who took part in the event placed in the top 6 in their weight class. Heidi Fairchild and Kara McQueen each placed 3rd in their classes. Kyla Lauw finished 4th, Amara Dossett and Lily Vance finished 5th, and Juana Miguel Gaspar placed 6th. The Bullpup girls will travel to Augusta High School for Regionals on Feb. 13-14.
The boys team took part in the 42nd Annual Rose Hill Invitational. The team placed 12th in the invite out of 28 teams. Carter Leathers and Noah Garcia placed 3rd in their respective weight classes. Dylan Hall placed 5th and Madison Burkes placed 8th. CLICK HERE for the full results.
The boys team will have some time off before their Regional meet, which will be at Beloit on Feb. 21.
