Team Black faced tough competitors in the tournament. Audra Sandbo / Sadie Krug finished 9th in the Doubles tournament despite going 3-1. Hayden Eveland / Ann-Marie Holmes finished in 13th. In the Singles tournament, Maddie Ekholm placed 13th and Emily Reno in 15th.
“I was pleased with the way all of our girls competed,” Head Coach Tyler Brown said. “We have a ton of talent and physical ability, but we need to continue growing in how we handle our emotions and the mental side of the game. That growth will be key heading forward.”
The JV team will head to the Derby JV Invitational Monday, Sept. 8. However, the Varsity team will have an 11-day buffer before their next meet at Haysville-Campus.
