GREAT BEND, Kan. – McPherson High School Cross Country began its season Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Great Bend Invitational, ending with solid times for the girls and boys varsity teams.
The Varsity Boys placed 7th in the invite, led by Caleb Muehler’s 2nd place finish. Kayden Friesen finished 27th individually, and Tripp Pelzel placed 34th. The Varsity Girls placed 13th, led by Adeline Kramer, who placed 30th.
“We had great weather to start the season,” Head Coach Nikolous Rempe said. “Both teams took advantage of it and posted solid times in very competitive races.”
The Cross Country teams will have some time off before heading to the Wamego Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 13.
