SALINA, Kan. – It was not pretty, but the undefeated McPherson High boys finish the state quarterfinals in Salina with a 61-48 victory of #8 Fort Scott.
The Bullpups led just 29-20 at halftime. After a strong Bullpup run, Fort Scott forced multiple turnovers and made it a five-point contest with 2:30 left in the game. However, strong late-game defense and clutch free throw shooting pulled the Pups away with their 23rd victory of the season.
