HUTCHINSON, Kan. – McPherson High School Boys Soccer had their four-game losing streak snapped in thrilling fashion against a tough 5A Hutchinson team.
The Bullpups’ lone goal came in the second half off of the boot of Jackson Martin, assisted by Manny Morales. McPherson finished with six shots on goal.
McPherson’s defense was strong against the Salthawks, as GK Gabe Standfast had 13 saves, but Hutch pulled it off in double overtime.
The Pups fall to 8-6-0 on the season with two games left in the regular season. They will host Senior Night on Tuesday, Oct. 21 against Andover Central.
