McPHERSON, Kan. – McPherson High School Boys Soccer finished their regular season on Thursday, Oct. 24, falling 1-0 to Great Bend, entering playoffs with an 8-8-0 record.
The Bullpups did lose the final three games of the regular season, but all of those came against 5A schools Hutchinson, Andover Central, and Great Bend, all of which were by just a single goal. Before the losing streak, McPherson had four straight shutout league wins.
Overall, the Bullpups finished the season 6-2 against 4-1A schools, losing only to Rose Hill and Wichita-Classical, who both finished in the top three in 4-1A West standings.
