McPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson High School Baseball team held their Regionals tournament Tuesday, May 14, defeating Chapman 11-1, but falling to Rose Hill 3-1.
In the Chapman contest, the Bullpups picked up 11 hits with Logan Beede throwing all six innings of play allowing just 4 hits. McPherson walked it off in the 6th via the run rule.
In the Rose Hill game, it was a tale of two outstanding pitchers. McPherson’s Ian Razak went through 6.2 IP striking out five batters, but the Rockets’ Colton Roberts, a potential NCAA Div. I commit, threw 6.2 IP as well, striking out 12 Bullpups. McPherson’s lone run came on a wild pitch in the 5th inning.
The Bullpups finish the 2024 season 20-8.
