Bulldogs Suffer First Loss of Season to Friends

WICHITA, Kan. ( – The McPherson College Bulldogs suffered their first setback of the season Saturday night (Nov. 18) in a 70-66 loss to Friends University inside the Garvey Center in Wichita, Kan.

The Bulldogs scored the first 18 points of the game, but Friends answered with an 11-0 spurt over the next 94 seconds. The Falcons clawed back to make it a 37-34 Bulldog lead at the break.

The second half was a battle, with neither team leading by more than four. The Bulldogs grabbed a 62-60 lead thanks to a triple by Jamil Hardaway, but back-to-back threes by K.J. Spiller gave the Falcons a lead they would never give up.

The Falcons shot 53.8 percent (7-for-13) from the three-point line and had five fewer turnovers than the Bulldogs (12).
