OTTAWA, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) — The McPherson College Bulldogs were blanked for the second time in three games, falling to the Ottawa University Braves 7-0 Tuesday (Mar. 20) in Ottawa, Kan.
Ethan Alexander drew the start on the mound for the Bulldogs and threw six inning with as many strikeouts, and allowed just three hits and one run.
However, from there the Bulldogs used four more pitchers, and that’s when the Braves scored the bulk of their runs.
Ottawa led 1-0 heading into the seventh inning, then scored three runs in each of the next three innings to take the 7-0 lead.
MC was held to just three hits, which is tied for their lowest total of the season.
The Bulldogs are back in action this weekend, as they open a three game series with Bethany College. The doubleheader is slated for Saturday (Mar. 23) starting at Noon.
