WICHITA, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) — Senior Caitlin Buendia and freshman Gracie Speltz were named Women’s Soccer All-KCAC Honorable Mention for the 2024 season, the league announced Wednesday (Nov. 6).
“I am so proud of these two,” head coach Mark Olson said. “They both are well deserving of this honor.”
Buendia, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, led the Bulldogs offensively, scoring nine goals in just 12 games, and added one assist. She finished the season tied for sixth in the KCAC in goals, and was sixth in the league with 1.36 points per game. Buendia wraps up her career in a tie for fourth in career goals, and tied for third in career assists.
Speltz, a defender from Mansfield, Texas, was outstanding for the Bulldogs defensively, playing an instrumental part in the Bulldogs two shutouts. Additionally, Speltz scored one goal and had three assists. She finished with 0.59 shots-on-goal per game, which was second on the team.
