WICHITA, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) — Jordyn Johnson has been selected to the All-KCAC Third Team, following her final season in a Bulldog uniform, the league announced Tuesday evening (Apr. 30).
“We are very proud of the year Jordyn had,” head coach Abby Bolton said. “Coming off surgery over the summer and having to fight through some injuries this spring she gave her team everything she had every time she stepped on the mound. We are thankful to have had a kid like Jordyn in our program.”
The Lakewood, Colo., native pitched in 18 games this season for the Bulldogs, finishing with an 8-8 record, a 2.42 ERA, and three shutouts. She struck out 92 batters this season, averaging 6.02 strikeouts per game.
Johnson had three double-digit strikeout performances this season, including fanning 11 batters in a 12-0 win over Haskell Indian Nations University in February.
