LINDSBORG, Kan.— Buhler track & field captured six event titles and another four runner-up finishes at Thursday’s Smoky Valley Invitational.
Zach Friesen (15.05) edged Pratt’s Gavin Rupe at the finish line in a very competitive Boys 110 Meter Hurdles.
In the Girls 400 Meter Dash, Lillie Ledford (59.45) paced the field by nearly four seconds.
Sofia Spies hit a mark of 17-9 to finish first in the finals of Girls Long Jump.
It was a 1-2 Buhler finish in Girls Pole Vault. Top honors went to Jenna Lackey with a mark of 10-7. Khloe Blackwell (9-6) finished second.
Ryan Gotti flexed her muscle in the Girls Javelin Final. Gotti’s mark of 122-9 put her well in front of second place Keely Pflughoeft (118-8) of Ellsworth.
Buhler will host 11 area teams at their annual home invitational on Friday at Crusader Stadium. Field events begin at 3:30 p.m.
