Maize South, Kan.— Buhler tennis just keeps winning. Make it two team wins in two tournaments this season for the varsity Crusaders.

All four of Buhler’s entries at Friday’s Maize South Invitational made it to the championship finals, with three of the four taking first-place honors.

Results:

No. 1 Singles: Davian Spies (4-0), 1st place

No. 2 Singles: Tucker Schlatter (3-1), 2nd place

No. 1 Doubles: Von Woleslagel & Reuben Harder (4-0), 1st place

No. 2 Doubles: Titus Bortzfield & Jaxton Gillette (4-0), 1st place

In the process, two-time individual state champion (2022, 2024) Davian Spies won his 100th career match at Buhler.

Spies and his teammates look poised early in the season to defend their 4A team title from a year ago. The Crusaders return to the court on Thursday at Hutchinson.
