HUTCHINSON, Kan. – In just the program’s fourth season ever, Buhler boys swimming and diving swam to the AVCTL 3-4 league title on Saturday at the Hutchinson Y.
“There were 12 boys on the team the first season. We now have 27 and 6 of those are seniors who started the program with us, head coach Shane DeWeese said. “There have been a lot of laps, yards, and pushups since then. Today we brought it all together with a league championship.”

The State competition takes place February 16-18 at the Shawnee Mission School District Aquatic Center. Diving will start on Thursday, with swimming prelims on Friday, and the finals for both on Saturday. You can watch live and track results at https://kshsaa.org/.
