The Buhler High School girls and boys basketball teams split varsity contests with Circle Tuesday night at Towanda.
The Crusader girls beat the Thunderbirds 44-40 and the Buhler boys lost 60-53.
The Buhler girls led 12-10 after one quarter and the score was tied 17-17 at halftime. The Crusaders took a 33-27 at the end of the third quarter and held on for the win.
Ella Voss led the Buhler girls (3-5) with 13 points. Tori Tustian added 10. Lauren Swilley scored 12 points for the Circle girls (3-4) and Brooklyn Patty tallied 9.
In the boys game, Buhler led 15-14 after one quarter and led 31-28 at halftime and 40-38 at the end of the third quarter. The Thunderbirds outscored the Crusaders 22-13 in the fourth quarter.
Isaiah Heredia led the Buhler boys (4-4) with 13 points. Asher Zachary added 10. Clayton Gilbertson and Keenan Boldra each tallied 16 points for the Circle boys (3-4).
The Buhler teams play at Winfield on Friday, host Augusta next Tuesday and host Clearwater on Jan. 16.
