Buhler 28, Mulvane 7
BUHLER, Kan. – Ben Clouse rushed for 113 yards in Friday’s season opening win for Buhler over Mulvane. After a slow start, the Crusader offense got going in the second quarter, scoring twice before halftime. They added two more scores in the second half.
“Just a great effort,” head coach Steve Warner said. “We’re aggressive and we’re playing hard.”
Buhler’s defense held Mulvane to just 174 total yards, including negative two yards rushing. Defensive Tackle Cash Carson tormented Mulvane ball carries all night, collecting seven tackles and three sacks.
“We’re going to throw a lot of pressure on quarterbacks this year,” Warner said.
The win is Buhler’s sixth straight and 26th overall against Mulvane in 45 meetings.
