Buhler Bowlers Finish League Play Undefeated, Will Host a Regional Next Week

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Buhler bowling swept Augusta on Friday at The Alley to finish undefeated in league play. The boys and girls, both 8-0, going into the weekend, then concluded regular season play on Saturday at the Andover Invitational.

After qualifying second going into the Baker bracket, the Buhler girls ran the table to claim the championship. Samantha Hulse scored the high game of 237. Teigan Neilsen, among the top-10 average scorers in the state this season, finished with the high series of 622.

Teigan Nielsen: 208, 206, 208 = 622 (medalist 2nd)

Sloane Adkins: 205, 193, 173 = 571 (medalist 6th)

Kenzie Welch: 182, 205, 176 = 563 (medalist 7th)

Samantha Hulse: 160, 164, 237 = 561 (medalist 8th)

Natalea Geuy: 146, 161, 165 = 472

Emily Duran: 153, 112, 132 = 397

 

The Buhler boys, who also qualified second going into the Baker bracket, suffered their first defeat of the season, finishing third. High game honors went to Landon Kurtz with a 264. Trent Heridan, who is currently seventh among all scorers in the state this season, bowled the high series of 709.

The Crusaders conclude the regular season with the league meet this week, before setting their sites on a potential postseason run. They will host a 14-team regional at The Alley on February 22nd.
