WICHITA, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) — Jalil Brown has been named KCAC Offensive Player of the Week, after leading the Bulldogs to a 34-27 upset win over No. 16-ranked Evangel, the league announced Monday (Nov. 4).
The Seagoville, Texas native finished with 247 yards from scrimmage, and two touchdowns. He had a career-high 30 carries for 132 rushing yards, with both his scores coming on the ground.
Brown was instrumental on the final drive, catching a swing pass and taking it 69-yards to the one-yard line, then punched it in two plays later to give the Bulldogs their first ranked win in the Fiscus Era.
Brown and the Bulldogs are back in action Saturday (Nov. 9) for a showdown against Friends University at McPherson Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
