PARK CITY, Kan. – For the fifth straight season, the Sterling College Lady Warriors have made the NAIA National Tournament. Sterling College has an 11 seed in the Cramer Quadrant and will be playing against the 6 seed Mid-America Christian University (MACU). Sterling takes on MACU on Tuesday, March 7, at 8 PM at Hartman Arena in Park City, Kan.

Sterling and MACU have already faced each other this season. On New Years Eve, Sterling traveled to Oklahoma City and took on the, then ranked, #25 Evangels and came up short taking an 83-77 loss. Although not playing in Sterling, there may be more of a home court feel this time around as the two teams will be playing in Hartman Arena in Park City, Kan. Sterling comes into the tournament with a 25-5 record and received an automatic bid by winning the KCAC Regular Season title. MACU finished second in the Sooner Conference regular season and had a season record of 23-6. MACU lost in the first round of the SAC Conference tournament.

The other teams in the pod are Montana Western Bulldogs with a 3 seed in the tournament and the highest seeded team in this pod and they will take on the Philander Smith Panthers who have the 14 seed in the bracket. Montana Western finished second in the regular season in the Frontier Conference. Philander Smith finished third in the regular season of the Golf Coast Athletic Conference.

The winners of these two contests will play each other on Wednesday evening, March8, at 6 pm. The winner of this game will head to the 16 team tournament in Sioux City, Iowa from March 13-18.

Tickets for all games at Hartman Arena can be purchased through the KCAC ticketing website at www.kcacsports.com/ticketing.
