HILLSBORO, Kan. (TaborBluejays.com) – Maddie McCoy was named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week. McCoy had 5 steals against the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy on Friday, November 10th, leading to a 31-point win for Tabor. She had a total of 10 rebounds in two games. Nine of the rebounds were on defense and she only committed 3 fouls.
McCoy is a senior from Wellsville, Kansas, and has been at Tabor all four years.
Head Coach Shawn Reed had this to say about McCoy, “Madie had a strong week and is very worthy of receiving KCAC Defensive POW recognition. She had two strong defensive performances but her performance against UHSP was truly outstanding. Madie has worked hard on her defense during her time at Tabor and it is nice to see her recognized for all of her efforts!”
McCoy and the rest of the Lady Jays play on Wednesday, Nov. 15th at 5:30 p.m. in Springfield, Missouri against Evangel University.
Tabor College is a Christ-centered institution located in Hillsboro, Kansas. The Bluejays are members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and compete in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC).
