The Blue Dragons have now been ranked in 12 consecutive polls since the 2023 preseason poll. That’s the second-longest consecutive streak of weeks being ranked in the national rankings since being ranked in 15 consecutive polls in 2009 and 2010.
Hutchinson plays two matches this week. The Dragons play host to Coffeyville at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Salthawk Soccer Complex. The Dragons will travel to Barton at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Great Bend.
Thanks to Dodge City’s Sunday 4-3 victory over previous-No. 9 Cowley, the order of KJCCC teams in the Top 20 have been shaken up. Butler (3-0-2) is the highest-ranked KJCCC team at No. 8. Kansas City (5-0-1). Cowley (2-1) drops five spots to No. 14 and the Blue Dragons remain No. 18. Barton is receiving votes in this week’s poll.
The national Top 5 remained the same this week with Iowa Western leading the way, followed by Eastern Florida State, Tyler, Navarro and Seminole State.
