HUTCHINSON, Kan. (BlueDragonSports.com) – For the second-straight week, the Hutchinson Community College women’s soccer team remained at No. 17 in the latest NJCAA Division I National Rankings released on Monday.
The Blue Dragons were 0-0-1 last week, battling No. 9 Kansas City to a 1-1 draw last Wednesday at the Salthawk Sports Complex.

The Dragons are 4-1-3 overall and 3-1-3 in the KJCCC, which is good enough for fourth place in the league standings. The Blue Dragons play at No. 14 Cowley on Wednesday and at Garden City on Saturday.
The Blue Dragons have now been ranked in 14 consecutive polls going back to the 2023 preseason poll. That’s the second-longest consecutive streak of weeks being ranked in the national rankings since being ranked in 15 consecutive polls in 2009 and 2010.
For the first time this season, there is a new No. 1 team as Navarro takes over the top spot from defending national champion Iowa Western. Seminole State, Tyler and Arizona Wester remain Nos. 3, 4 and 5.
There was very little movement from the KJCCC teams in the national rankings. Butler (7-0-2) remained No. 6. Kansas City (6-0-3) went from No. 9 to No. 10. Cowley (4-2-1) stayed No. 14 and the Blue Dragons remained No. 17.
