NEWTON – Sophomore Corey Scullion shot 3-under par on Thursday to lead the No. 5-ranked Hutchinson Community College men’s golf team on Day 1 of the NJCAA National Preview at Sand Creek Station.
The National Preview gives teams from around the NJCAA an early chance to play the course that will play host to the 2026 Division I National Championship in May. Sand Creek Station will play host to the championship for the second-straight season.
Originally scheduled for 54 holes, the tournament was reduced to two rounds because of morning frost on the course, which pushed the tee times back. The final round will tee off in a shotgun format at 10 a.m. on Friday.
