IOLA, Kan. – The KC Iola Hormigas were unable to stop a fiery Blackwell Flycatcher offense Mon., July 21, falling in Iola 19-3.

The Flycatchers had 16 hits, partially thanks to an impressive outing from Rey Lozano, who went 5-6 with two home runs, a triple, and four RBI’s. Offensively, the Hormigas had just one extra base hit, a double from Xander Nabors. He and Oscar Galvez led the offense with two hits apiece.

The Hormigas will have their final game in Iola of the 2025 season Tues., July 22, facing the Flycatchers at 6:00 p.m. at Allen Community College’s baseball diamond.
