Bethany Women’s Soccer’s Carreon Earns All-KCAC Honors

WICHITA, Kan. (BethanySwedes.com) – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) has announced the 2024 KCAC Women’s Soccer All-Conference award winners, as voted on by the head women’s soccer coaches.

Bianca Carreon was named to the KCAC Honorable Mention list for her play throughout the season. Although midfielders do not score much, she was able to get a few head soccer coaches attention with her skills and leadership.

Oklahoma Wesleyan University was the KCAC regular-season champion with a 12-0-1 conference record. The Eagles took home several of this season’s conference individual awards.

Tania Mocholi of Oklahoma Wesleyan was named both the KCAC Women’s Soccer Most Valuable Player and the Offensive Player of the Year, earning both of those honors for the second season in a row. Teammate Elise Lofnertz was named the KCAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Year, and the Eagles’ goalkeeper, Carlota Alcalde, was named the KCAC Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Year. OKWU head coach Ivan Ristic was named the KCAC Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year by his peers.

The remaining two individual honors went to players from Avila University. Addison Yinger was named the KCAC Women’s Soccer Newcomer/Transfer of the Year, while teammate Cali Lasater earned the KCAC Women’s Soccer Freshman of the Year honor.
