KANSAS CITY, Mo. (BethanySwedes.com) – The Bethany College Men’s Soccer team played an away game against Avila University.
The Swedes were able to keep stay in the game for a significant amount of time. They had a few chances which were cleaered by the Avila back line. However, the Eagles would strike first in the 37th minute. Not long after a free kick was taken which went under the wall making it 2-0 for Avila just before halftime.
In the second half the Swedes played more aggresively but could not find a way to truly rattle the opposing team. Towards the end of the match, the Eagles would score a final goal to cement their 3-0 victory. Despite the Swedes gaining more momentum in the second-half, it was not enough and they would go home empty handed.
