The Hutchinson High School boys and girls cross country team competed in the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Division I championship Saturday on the Kansas Veterans Home course in Wichita.
The Hutchinson varsity boys placed 12th in the AVCTL I team standings with 330 points. Maize and Maize South placed first and second with 70 and 104 points.
Cristian Medina placed 12th in the varsity boys 5K race with a time of 16 minutes, 37.51 seconds. Medina earned a medal.
Salthawk Aiden Koontz placed 34th with a time of 18:14.33, followed by Lalo Rodriguez, 35th, 18:26.09; Jacob Rogers, 46th, 20:18.74; Colin Pfannenstiel, 47th, 20:31.73; and Collin Patton, 48th, 20:34.83.
Hutchinson’s Will Reade placed 54th in the junior varsity boys 5K with a time of 24:46.1.
Hutchinson’s Avery Tecklenburg placed 21st in the varsity girls 5K race with a time of 21:41.54.
In the JV girls 5K race, Hutchinson’s Allison Henning placed 12th with a time of 24:22.85. Kieryn Bain placed 20th with a time of 26:03.34.
