HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce Central Christian High School junior Reese Swanson as this week’s Athlete of the Week, presented by Hutchinson Community College.
The week – Swanson helped get the Cougars off to a great start to the season, having a pair of strong performances in wins over Trinity Catholic and Wichita Classical. Swanson averaged 9.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in those wins, including a 14-points, 16-rebound performance against Classical.
The season – Swanson, a 5-foot, 11-inch junior forward, is coming off a solid sophomore season that saw the Cougars come one win shy of the state tournament. Swanson averaged 6 points and 6 rebounds a game as a sophomore and earned honorable mention all-Heart of the Plains League.
