NICKERSON, Kan. — Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce Nickerson High School senior Elizabeth Dick as this week’s Athlete of the Week, presented by Hutchinson Community College.
The week – Dick had a dominant weekend on the mat at the Christmas Clash on Friday and Saturday in Great Bend. The top seed in the 235-pound division, Dick won all four matches convincingly. Dick opened the tournament with a couple of pins. She then won her semifinal match 16-7 and won the championship match with another pin.
The season – Dick is a senior and the top-ranked wrestler in Class 4A’s 235-pound division, now with a 4-0 record. Last season, Dick finished third at the Class 4A state tournament.
