LITTLE RIVER, Kan. — Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce Little River High School senior Arika Feldman as this week’s Athlete of the Week, presented by Hutchinson Community College.
The week – Feldman finished strong in leading Little River to the Class 1A Division 1 state championship in Dodge City. Feldman scored 62 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in three games. Her performance in the semifinals was one of the best of her career, as Feldman tied a season high with 28 points to go with eight rebounds, two blocked shots, a steal and one assist in a 59-47 win over Centralia.
The season – Feldman, a senior, was one of the best players in Kansas. Feldman averaged 19 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.3 steals, 2 assists and 1.9 blocked shots a game for Little River, which finished the season 27-2 and won a fifth state championship.
