The Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association released its 2025-26 preseason rankings on Tuesday, and several area wrestlers are ranked.
In Kansas All-Class boys wrestling, Hutchinson junior Max Harris is ranked fourth at 165 pounds and and junior teammate Cruz Cannon is ranked fifth at 126 pounds.
Senior Luke Kerns, who attends Hutchinson Trinity and wrestles for Buhler, is ranked seventh at 165 pounds. Buhler senior Sammy Hershberger is ranked eighth at 138 pounds.
In the Kansas Class 5A wrestling team rankings, Hutchinson is fifth out of 10 teams.
Max Harris is ranked first at 165 pounds, Hutchinson junior Cooper Harris second at 157 pounds, Cannon fourth at 126 pounds and Jackson Anderson fifth at 190 pounds.
In Kansas Class 4A boys wrestling, Buhler’s Hershberger is ranked third at 144 pounds, Kerns fifth at 175 pounds and sophomore Jacob Burklow sixth at 190 pounds.
In Kansas Class 3-2-1A boys, Haven senior Tanner Loughrie is ranked fifth at 132 pounds.
In All-Class girls wrestling, Nickerson senior Elizabeth Dick is seventh at 235 pounds and Lyons’ Jacynn Boeken is ninth at 115 pounds.
In Class 5A girls wrestling, Hutchinson sophomore Aaida Brown is fifth at 100 pounds.
In Class 4A girls wrestling, Dick is first at 235 pounds and Buhler senior Macey Parks is second at 135 pounds.
In Class 3-2-1A girls wrestling, Lyons’ senior Kennedy Grizzle is second at 110 pounds and sophomore Taylor Baxter is sixth at 105 pounds.
