Haven High School junior Isaiah Doherty placed second in the varsity boys 5K race at the Marion Invitational cross country meet Thursday on the Marion High School course.
Doherty, who posted a time of 16 minutes, 59.18 seconds, led Haven to a fifth-place finish in the varsity boys team standings. Haven scored 146 points.
Other schools with runners competing were Hutchinson Trinity Catholic, Buhler High School/Prairie Hills Middle School, Burrton, Hillsboro, Hutchinson Central Christian Middle School, Haven High School/Haven Middle School, Inman and Little River.
