BELOIT, Kan. – This Saturday marks the 40th Anniversary of the Kansas 8-Man All-Star Games.  The Ad Astra Radio area has a storied tradition of athletes that have competed in the event and this year is no different.

The day is split up into two games with the different classifications alternating time slots each year.  In 2025, the 8-Man Division II All-Star Game will take place first at 10:00 a.m. followed by the 8-Man Division I All-Star Game at 1:30 p.m.

A majority of the area selections across the Ad Astra markets will be playing in the Division II game.  Central Christian’s Ry Kooiman and Keaton Miller will play for the West squad and will be joined by Connor Fowler and Garrett Lanning of Fairfield, as well as Kyler Murphy from Norwich.  Coaches Matt Barnett of Central Christian and Kyle Finder of Fairfield will be assistants for the West team.  The East roster features participants from Crest and Marmaton Valley in the Iola area.  Gentry McGee will represent the Lancers on the field, while Jaedon Granere and Brayden Lawson will play from Marmaton Valley.  The Wildcats’ head coach Max Mickunas will be this year’s East head coach and Nick McAnulty of Crest will be an assistant on his staff.

In the Division I game, Central Plains is well represented as Aiden Hekele and Joel Schreiber were selected to play on the East squad and Oilers Coach JD Johnson is an assistant this year.  Logan Renken of Little River will also play for the East.  For the West, Kinsley’s Zachary Kraft was picked to play.

Both of Saturday’s games will take place at Trojan Field in Beloit.  For more information, visit the Kansas 8-Man All-Star Football Facebook page or the KEMFA website at the provided links.
