WICHITA, Kan. — The Andale girls bowling team and three members of the boys bowling team qualified for state at the Class 4-1A regional at Bowlero Northridge on Friday.
The Andale girls won the regional with a score of 2,768, finishing 15 ahead of regional runner-up Wichita Collegiate. Three Lady Indians finished in the top 10, led by regional runner-up Kinsey Neely, who bowled a series of 549. Billie Jo Chaffin finished fifth with a series of 537. Riley Stoll had a series of 515, finishing seventh. Other members of the team include Calee Walters (16th, 454), Corin Walters (21st, 436), and Clara Seiler (22nd, 424).
On the boys side, Andale finished fourth with a series of 2,913. Konnor Bretthauer was the top Indian bowler, finishing sixth with a series of 618. Trey Hommertzheim finished ninth with a series of 551. Laken Gray was the final qualifier, taking 12th with a series of 533.
The Class 4-1A State Bowling Championships will be held at Bowlero Northrock Lanes on Friday. The boys competition begins at 8:50 a.m., while the girls will bowl at 1:40 p.m.
