WELLINGTON, Kan. — The Andale/Garden Plain softball team put up a combined 44 runs in a sweep over Wellington on Thursday.
Game one saw Andale/Garden Plain win 22-17 thanks to Abby Durham and Rose Molitor. Molitor went 4-for-5 at the plate with two home runs and seven RBIs. Durham also went 4-for-5 with a home run and six RBIs.
Andale/Garden Plain needed five innings to win game two, 22-2. Durham went 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs. Andale/Garden Plain scored six in the second, seven in the fourth and nine in the fifth.
