Each month, Ad Astra Radio is recognizing a girls and boys Team of the Month, selected from area high schools. The Girls Team of the Month for December goes to the Pretty Prairie Girls Basketball team!
The month: Pretty Prairie had a strong first month of the season, going 6-1 before Christmas, with the Bulldogs’ only loss coming to Bucklin, which is ranked No. 2 in Class 1A Division 2. Pretty Prairie won the early-season Falcon Classic at Fairfield, taking down Flinthills in the championship game, 38-31. Junior forward Kayleigh Vogl had a pair of double-doubles and one triple-double. According to MaxPreps, Vogl led the state in blocked shots with 35 headed to January. Junior Amity White is the defensive catalyst, averaging four steals a game.
