Each month, Ad Astra Radio is recognizing a girls and boys Team of the Month from area high schools. The Boys Team of the Month for December goes to Hutchinson Wrestling!
The month: The Salthawks had a great December against a rugged schedule. They finished third at the Blue Jay Duals on Dec. 6 in Junction City, and days later, defeated Newton 48-32 in an AVCTL Division 1 dual. Then, from Dec. 12-13, the Salthawks travelled to Colby for the Eagle Invitational, where the Salthawks wrestled eight duals. They went 6-2 and placed fourth. Hutch finished the month with a dual win over Dodge City. Some individual highlights this season include 106-pound Dion Brown going 14-1; 126-pound Cannon Cruz going 18-0; 157-pound Cooper Harris going 15-3; 175-pound Max Harris going 17-1; 190-pound Jackson Anderson going 16-2; and 215-pound James Hill going 15-1.
