LITTLE RIVER, Kan. — Each month Ad Astra Radio will be recognizing a girls and boys Team of the Month, selected from area high schools. The November Girls Team of the Month goes to the Little River Volleyball team!
The month: Little River capped another strong season by winning the Class 1A Division 1 state championship on Nov. 1 in Dodge City. In the semifinals, Little River swept Quinter 25-6, 25-16, and then Little River swept Centralia 25-12, 25-17 for the state title. Those wins capped a 44-2 season and Little River’s fourth straight state title, all under coach Kim Rolfs. Senior Arika Feldman had a sensational season with 343 kills, 174 digs, 85 total blocks, and 36 service aces. Senior Adelynne Strecker was a defensive maestro with 472 digs.
