Buhler Swimmers Open the Season at Marion, Finish 5th


MARION, Kan. – The Buhler girls’ swimming season has officially begun, with 14 girls competing Thursday in Marion. The Lady Crusaders placed fifth out of seven teams.


The 200 A Medley Relay was 9th (Madalyn Bohringer, Shaylin Petz, Charley Baxter, and Madison Staib).

In the 200 Free, Shaylin Petz was 6th. Madison Staib was 13th and Cathlyna Theriot finished 14th.

Charley Baxter was 11th in the 50 Free.

Madalyn Bohringer took 8th in the 100 Fly.

In the 100 Free, Charley Baxter was 12th.

In the 500 Free, Shaylin Petz was 3rd. Madison Staib finished 9th, and Cathlyna Theriot was 10th.


The A 200 Free Relay was 12th (McKenna Nuttman, Shelbi Brady, Cassidy Banning, and Aivlynn Ehmke). The B relay was 14th (Baylee Krase, Skylir Wichert, Jordan Spencer, and Ali Post).

Madalyn Bohringer was 12th in the 100 Backstroke.

Delaney Hartnett was 15th in the 100 Breaststroke.

In the 400 Free Relay, the A relay was 5th (Charley Baxter, Madalyn Bohringer, Cathlyna Theriot, and Shaylin Petz). The B relay was 9th (McKenna Nuttman, Delaney Hartnett, Shelbi Brady, and Madison Staib. The C relay was 10th. Ali Post, Jordan Spencer, Skylir Wichert, and Baylee Krase).

Buhler will compete again on Tuesday at the Hutchinson High School meet.
