2025 KCAC Preseason Football Team Announced

KANSAS — The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) is proud to announce the 2025 KCAC Football Preseason Team, as voted on by the conference’s head coaches. The group consists of four sophomores, one redshirt sophomore, ten juniors, three redshirt juniors, sixteen seniors, one redshirt senior, and two graduate students.

Friends University leads the conference with eight honorees on the preseason team. Southwestern College and Evangel University rank second in the conference, with six honorees each. McPherson College and Kansas Wesleyan University follow that with five honorees from each institutions. Rounding out the list are three honoress from Tabor College, two from Ottawa University, and one each from the University of Saint Mary and Bethel College.

Some of the standouts from the Preseason Team include K’Vonte Baker of Friends University, Jalil Brown of McPherson College, and Luke Armstrong of Kansas Wesleyan University.

Baker and Brown were Co-Offensive Players of the Year in the Kessinger Division in 2024. Brown led the Kessinger division in total rushing yardds and rushing touchdowns in the regular season in 2024. Baker ranked third in the division in total rushing yards and second in th division in rushing touchdowns. He servedas the catalyst for the No. 1 rushing offense in the NAIA in 2024.

Armstrong returns following a season in which he was named the Bissell Division Player of the Year. He led that division and all of the KCAC at the end of the regular season in rushing yards with 1,297, which ranked second in the NAIA at that point. He tied for the conference lead in rushing touchdowns (14), and ranked first in the KCAC in all-purpose yards in the regular season (1,991).
