Highland, KS (GoNeosho.com) – The 19th ranked Panthers traveled to Highland CC and took down the Scotties in game one 6-4. They got on the board in the first inning after Addyson Easter doubled, scoring one run. The scoring continued in the second, when Brinly Bancroft doubled and Emma West singled, each scoring on run. In the top of the third, Braxton Stainbrook tagged up, extending the lead 4-0. The Panthers had 13 hits in game one. Caitlyn Myers drove in two runs. West and Stainbrook each had three hits, while Easter collected two herself. Eleanor Rieck got the win in the circle, allowing five hits, one run, zero earned, striking out two and walking none. Paige Hutsell appeared in the relief position. Gracie Turner collected the save.
The Panthers also took down the Scotties in game two 11-4. The Panthers had a 5 run inning in the second. Jessica Petric singled, scoring two runs, Brinly Bancroft singled, scoring one run, and Addyson Easter doubled, scoring two runs. In the top of the third, the Scotties committed an error, which resulted in a run for the Panthers. Jessica Petric would sacrifice herself, scoring a run. The Panthers had 14 hits. Petric, in the nine hole, drove in three runs, going 2-3. Bancroft set the tone as the lead off, going 3-5. Carsyn McCue, Emma West and Easter each collected multiple hits, while Cailtyn Myers collected two walks. The Panthers ran the bases solid, taking 7 stolen bases. Brenli Solano collected the win in the circle. Only surrendered four hits, and four runs, striking out one and walking one. Logan Cates came in relief. Cates gave up two hits and zero runs, while striking out two and walking one.
