The Abbyville Frontier Days PRCA Rodeo and BBQ is back, May 19 through 21 st . Thursday barrel racing starts at 5:30. Friday night is family night with gates open at 6. Saturday highlights include the parade, ranch rodeo, BBQ meal and rodeo finals. Come back Sunday morning for the Cowboy Church Service at 10:30 a.m. Purchase tickets in advance or at the gate. The NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Gowans Stadium in Hutchinson. More than 700 student-athletes from around the nation will compete for individual and team championships. Events get underway Thursday morning and conclude with an awards presentation Saturday afternoon. The Reno County Farmers Market returns Saturday morning from 7:30 to 12:30 to the Farmers Market Pavilion, Second and Washington in Hutchinson. Shop local farm fresh produce, baked goods, crafts and more. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is the feature film this weekend at the Carey Digital Dome Theatre at the Cosmosphere. Professor Albus Dumbledor leads an intrepid team of wizards and witches as they battle with dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald and his growing legion of followers. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 7 and Sunday at 5. The dancers of ArtisTree present their 43 rd annual Spring Show, “Juxtapostions,” Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Fox Theatre in Hutchinson. It’s free to attend for the whole family! Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters take the stage Saturday evening at 7:30 at the McPherson Opera House. The group, headlined by award-winning actor Billy Both Thornton, features a diverse catalogue of music influenced by rock and roll.
