Ronald Lee Allison, 90, died August 26, 2026. He was born May 18, 1936 to Nola Ruth and Marion Allison. He grew up in Chanute. At a young age he had a paper route; at 16 he started working at Ford as a clean up boy and worked his way up to foreman. He worked there for 34 years. He then built his own shop, Allison Body Shop.
He is a member of Otterbein Church. He went to many car shows with the car club and he and his wife Evelyn traveled in his 34 Ford Roadster which he had since he was 16. He was a member of the Elks Club where he participated in many events. He enjoyed hunting and made many trips to Colorado with friends and family. He liked raising cattle, and he loved family vacations. He lived life to the fullest.
Ronald married Evelyn Scott June 14, 1957 at his sister’s house. They were married 69 years. They traveled to Colorado for their honeymoon.
Survivors are his wife Evelyn, daughter Terry Love, Grandchildren: Mandy Love, Mathew Love, Mitchell and Destiny Love and Brandi Allison. Great Grandchildren: Austin Troxel, Roger Love, Jacquolin Love, Garrett Love, Asher Love, Gracie Love and Tatiana Love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Marion Jay Allison, his brothers: Warren Alford and Alfred Allison, Sisters: Pearl Blancett and Barbara Deane.
Services will be Saturday September 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Otterbein Community Church of Chanute, 631 West 7th, Chanute, Kansas 66720.
