Dewayne F. ArnoldBurlington, KS

Dewayne Frank Arnold, 78, died August 31, 2026, at Stormont Vail Hospital, Topeka. He was born October 6, 1947, in Iola, to Raymond and Bessie (Degraffenreid) Arnold. Dewayne graduated from LeRoy High School in 1965 and attended one year at Allen County Community College. In the late 60’s Dewayne moved to Topeka and worked for various places doing custodial work. He became employed for the KBI doing custodial work and then transferred to the mailroom and worked in that department until he retired.

Dewayne married Doris Arlene Coleman on June 12, 1994, in LeRoy. She died May 23, 2012. He then married Constance Renkel on February 14, 2014 in Topeka.

Dewayne is survived by: wife, Constance of the home; brother, George Arnold and wife Rita of LeRoy; nieces, Dayla Bergh and husband Brent, Darlita Jelinek and husband Tyson, Doreen Stidolph and husband Reid, 6 great nieces and 2 great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Doris.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Jones Funeral Home, Burlington, with burial to follow in Crandall Cemetery, LeRoy. Family will greet friends from 9:30 until service time. Memorial donations may be made to SCC Honor Flight or Bridges and Balms, in care of Jones Funeral Home PO Box 277 Burlington, KS 66839.
