Lloyd Lee Conner, 90, died August 28, 2026, in Kingman, Kansas. He was born April 2, 1936, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 36 years, Denise; his children, Sean (Melanie) Conner of Savannah, Georgia, Nicholas (Kara) Thomas of Shawnee, Kansas, Roy (Amy Turner) Thomas of Wichita, Kansas, Valerie (Angel) Ortiz of Wichita, Kansas, and Chris (Joy) Lee of Goshen, Indiana; his 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Lloyd loved the outdoors and was happiest when he could share it with the people he loved. Fishing, hunting, and camping were lifelong passions, and many of his family’s favorite memories were made enjoying those things together. Especially treasured are his legendary fall hayrides with his grandchildren on his antique tractor—a simple pleasure that became a beloved family tradition and a memory his grandchildren will carry with them for the rest of their lives. He was also a devoted fan of Purdue University athletics and always remained connected to his Indiana roots.
More than anything, Lloyd will be remembered for the time he spent with his family and for sharing the things he loved with the generations that came after him. The camping trips, days spent fishing, fall hayrides, and countless stories made along the way leave his family with a lifetime of memories.
In keeping with Lloyd’s and his family’s wishes, there will be no public service. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
