Joyce Clara Mourning, 85, passed away on August 25, 2026, in Garden Plain, Kansas. She was born in Conway Springs, Kansas, on October 14, 1940, to George and Bernetta Wolke. Joyce married Glen Mourning on October 12, 1968, and together they had three children: Lori, Vicki, and Eric. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; George and Bernetta Wolke, her wonderful husband of 55 years, Glen Mourning; and her sisters, Dianne Metzen and Shirley Ann Noonan.

Joyce is survived by her children, Lori (Russ) Becker, Vicki (Lynn) Lexow, and Eric (Dana) Mourning; nine grandchildren, Derek Becker (fiancé Aspen Jones), Halee (Dyllan) Nuzum, Sydnee Becker (fiancé Ben Vardiman), Logan (Sydney) Lexow, Taylor (Ben) Bauman, Brayden Lexow, Garrett Mourning, Justin Mourning, and Makayla Mourning; and five great-grandchildren, Charlee Nuzum, Max Nuzum, Koe Lexow, Kaislee Lexow, and Vivian Bauman. Other survivors include sister Darlene (Marvin) Zoglman, Leroy (Betty) Wolke, and Gary (Jan) Wolke.

Recitation of the Rosary will be Friday, August 28, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Garden Plain, Kansas.
