Karen Gail Anderson, 72 of Chanute, Kansas passed away at Diversicare of Chanute on Friday, August 21, 2026. Cremation will take place under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Karen was born on August 2, 1954 in Chanute, Kansas to Foy and Juanita (Petty) Chandler. Karen attended the Chanute school system. On August 4, 1978, Karen married Denny Anderson in Miami, Oklahoma. The two were married 44 years until his passing on January 3, 2023. Karen worked at Everbrite Electronics and Kustom Signals, retiring in 2013.
Karen loved to plant flowers in her garden, she especially loved sunflowers. Karen also loved to relax and watch one of her favorite TV shows, Forensic Files. Karen also had a love for shoes and purses, but most of all she loved her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Denny, parents, Foy and Juanita Chandler, sister, Charlotte Moore, and brother, David Chandler.
Karen’s memory will carry on with her children, Angela Chandler, Francis Anderson, and Brian Anderson, sister, Debbie (Steve) Barker, three grandchildren, one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
