Reginia Kay (Sills) Herron of Waverly Ks passed away peacefully July 23, 2026, in the care of Richmond Ks. Nursing home.

Reginia was born August 14th, 1949, in Brownsville Tennessee to William Abner Sills & Willie Kay Cain Sills. She was their nineth child with five brothers; Joseph, Elliott, Gene, Richard & Billy and three sisters; Jane, June and Helen. Reginia graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Union University Jackson Tennessee in 1970. Reginia and Robert L. Herron married on July 23, 1971. She and Bob were reunited in Heaven on their 55th Wedding Anniversary.

Reginia lovingly taught elementary school in Tennessee, Missouri and Waverly Ks where she retired after a 40-year career.

Reginia is survived: by her brother, Billy; and her two sons, Robert Martin Herron II, wife April of Parkville MO and Joseph Bryant Herron, wife Sarah of Olathe KS; and five grandkids; Jayden, Lorien and William, Lilly & Jackson. Reginia was a loving wife, mother, and grandma. She was a warrior. Her fight with cancer has been an inspiration to all of us. Above all else she was a Christian from a young age. She taught her faith to her sons. As a faithful follower of Jesus, she shared her faith openly with friends and strangers alike, her bible traveled with her in a basket alongside her crochet needles.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Jones Funeral Home, Burlington. Family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Waverly Cemetery, Waverly. Memorial donations may be made to Susan G. Komen, in care of Jones Funeral Home PO Box 227 Burlington, KS 66839.
