1932-2026
Elaine was born August 18th, 1932, in Garden City, KS to Rev. & Mrs. AR Finkbeiner. Her father’s pastorates gave her the opportunity to live in several locations in Central & North Central Kansas. She graduated High School in Gaylord, KS in 1950. In May of 1952 she was united in marriage with Richard L. Eller & after a brief stay at Camp Crowder, MO, to finish Richard’s military career, they relocated to Smith Center, KS. To this union, three sons & one daughter were born; Marlin, Patricia, Jan Arthur, and Douglas.
In 1966, the family relocated to Atwood, KS where Elaine was an Office Manager for the Kansas Department of Transportation District Office for 29 years. She was active in her Church & community and after retirement, besides volunteering at the library, hospital, and the local newspaper office, spent 11 years as an EMT. In 2004, Richard & Elaine moved to Lindsborg due to Richard’s health & Elaine made Lindsborg her home.
Elaine was proceeded in death by her parents, AR & Eleanor, husband Richard, son Jan Arthur, infant grandson Jeremy, two sisters, Betty & Gladys, brother Allen, son-in-law Danny, step-granddaughter Candy and step-great grandson Caleb.
She is survived by her children, Marlin (Sandy) Eller, Patricia Campbell, Douglas (Toni) Eller, as well as multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She was blessed, & a blessing to all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd, at 10:30am at Bethany Lutheran Church with Pastor Chris Deines officiating. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
